Description

Here is a summary of the steps for installing the Inground Base, which provides a secure and permanent footing for your Revolvashade umbrella.

1. Dig the Hole

  • Dig a hole that is approximately 400mm wide and 900mm deep. This provides ample space for the base and concrete footing.

2. Set the Base and Concrete

  • Place the base into the hole.

  • Fill the hole with concrete, ensuring the base is completely encased and remains level.

3. Ensure Proper Exposure

  • Crucially, ensure that 15–20mm of the base ring remains exposed above the ground level.

  • This exposed section must be 15–20mm higher than your finished ground level (including any pavers, grass, tiles, decking, etc.). This clearance is necessary for the umbrella pole to slide in and rotate freely without binding against the surrounding surface.

4. Final Umbrella Installation (Greasing)

  • Once the concrete is cured and you are ready to install the umbrella pole, apply grease to:

    • The outside of the umbrella pole where it inserts into the base.

    • The top of the exposed base ring.

  • This lubrication ensures the umbrella pole can slide in easily and rotate freely within the base ring.
